Brief Information: The official notification for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test, 2025, has been released by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS). This test is conducted for admission into Class VI for the academic session 2025 – 2026. Interested and eligible students who wish to enroll in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas in Assam are required to appear for the JNVST examination.

The establishment of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) is by the National Policy of Education (1986) initiated by the Government of India. These co-educational residential schools are fully funded and administered by the Government of India through an autonomous organization called the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. Currently, the JNVs are present in 27 States and 08 Union Territories.

Salary: The compensation for Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) consists of a related Continuity Allowance (TRCA) along with Dearness Allowance. The TRCA varies for different categories as follows: 

1. Branch Postmaster (BPM): Rs. 12,000/- to Rs. 29,380/-
2. Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)/Dak Sevak: Rs. 10,000/- to Rs. 24,470/-
