DHE Combined Merit Scholarship 2023

Brief Information: The Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), Assam, has issued the official notification for the DHE Assam Combined Merit Scholarship 2023 – 2024. Students enrolled in Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in Arts/Science/Commerce disciplines at any recognized institution for the academic session 2023 – 2024 are eligible for this scheme. Interested candidates can apply online for this scholarship.

Eligible Courses: Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in Arts/Science/Commerce disciplines

Financial Assistance:

Course: Financial Aid

• Undergraduate (UG) Rs. 450/- per month

• Postgraduate (PG) Rs. 500/- per month

Eligibility Criteria for Combined Merit Scholarship

Educational Qualification: The minimum required marks to apply for the scholarship are as follows:

For UG courses: 60% in Higher Secondary for applicants of the Combined Merit Degree Scholarship scheme.

For PG courses: 60% in General Degree Course for applicants of the Combined Merit Master Degree Scholarship scheme.

Course & Session: Eligible students are those pursuing the 1st semester of a General Degree or Master Degree program in Arts/Science/Commerce discipline at any provincialized/Government College or State/Central University of Assam for the session 2023 – 2024.

Residency: The student must be a domicile of Assam.

Bank Account: Students must have a valid (up-to-date) Bank Account in their name, preferably with SBI. Details (Bank Name, A/c Number, Branch Name, IFSC Code) must be submitted along with the application.

• # Scholarships will be disbursed through the DBT system to the beneficiaries.

• # The candidate should hold the relevant qualification from any recognized Institution.

Selection Process: Selection will be strictly based on merit in all cases and will also be subject to budget allocation restrictions.

How to Apply for DHE Combined Merit Scholarship?

Interested and eligible candidates must submit their application online. Follow these steps to complete the DHE Combined Merit Scholarship application:

1. Scroll down and navigate to the Important Web-Link's section.

2. Click on the Online Application Form.

3. The official online application portal will open.

4. Register with all the necessary details.

5. Log in again using your user ID and password.

6. Provide your personal and educational details and upload all required documents as specified below.

7. Finally, submit your application and obtain an acknowledgment receipt.

Once you've submitted the application online, take a printout and deliver the hardcopy, along with necessary copies of certificates/documents, to the relevant Registrar/Principal/Head of the Institute.

The committee established at the College or University level will compile and verify the application form and accompanying documents according to the provided guidelines and instructions. Following this verification, the concerned Registrar/Principal/Head of the Institutions will send the valid online application form, along with all pertinent certificates/documents and statements, to the O/o Directorate of Higher Education, Assam, Kahilipara, Guwahati-781019, sealed and signed, no later than 7th December, 2023.

Documents to be submitted with DHE Scholarship Application

The following documents must be submitted along with the online application form:

1. Photograph and Signature of the candidate.

2. Aadhaar Card of the candidate.

3. Final mark sheet of the last qualifying examinations (i.e. H.S./UG.).

4. Photocopy of the first page of the active bank account.

5. Certificate from the Registrar/Head of the Institution in which the candidate is currently studying (mandatory).
