Brief Information: State Level Police Recruitment Board, Assam has issued an official notification regarding the recruitment of 222 posts of Excise Constable in the Excise Department, Assam. The application process for this recruitment will be online based. Eligible  and interested will have to submit their online applications on the official website of www.slprbassam.in

Mode of application: Online

Pay: Pay Band-2, Rs.14,000-49,000 and Grade Pay of Rs.5,000/- plus other allowances as admissible under the rules. 

Eligibility Criteria of Excise Department Recruitment:

Nationality: Candidates must be Indian Citizen, permanent resident of Assam. Selected

candidates will have to submit Proof of Residence after publication of the final select list.

Local Language Proficiency: Candidates must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently. 

Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must register his/ her name with any Employment Exchange in Assam.

Age Limit: Candidate age must be between 18 to 30 years as on 1st July 2022.

Age Relaxation: The category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below.

# SC, ST (P) and ST(H): 5 years

# OBC/ MOBC: 3 years

Educational Qualification: Candidates must be H.S.L.C or equivalent from recognized Board or Council. 

Physical Standard Recruitments:

Candidates must fulfill following physical standard requirements in terms of height, chest and weight.

Weight: Candidate weight must be proportionate to height and age as per Medical Standards.

 

Physical Fitness:

• i) Must have sound health both mentally and physically and free from organic defect or bodily infirmity likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duty.
• ii) Must undergo Medical Examination before appointment to the service.

3.  Marksheet of HSLC or equivalent examination

5. Certificate of Caste from Competent Authority.

6. NCC certificate issued by Competent Authority, if any (for which the candidate would be claiming weightage marks).

7. Latest passport size colour photograph.
