Brief Information: State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB) has issued an official notification regarding the reqruitment of 32 Assistant Jailor vacancy in the Prison Department, Assam. Pay: Rs. 14,000-60,500 (Pay Band No.2) and Grade pay Rs. 8700/- plus other allowances.

Eligibility Criteria of Prison Department Reqruitment 2023:

Citizenship: Candidate must be Indian Citizen and permanent resident of Assam.

Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must register his/ her name with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.

Local Language Proficiency: Candidates must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently.

Application Fee: There is no application fee for this recruitment.

Age Limit: The age of the candidate should be between 21 to 40 years as on 1st July 2022.

Age Relaxation: The category wise upper age relaxation is as follows.

1. SC/ ST: 5 years

2. OBC/ MOBC: 3 years

3. Ex-Servicemen: 2 years

Educational Qualification: The candidate must be a graduate in Arts, Science, Commerce or equivalent stream from a recognized College/Institution affiliated with a recognized University.
