The course will be conducted in Teacher Education Institutes (DIET/ CTE/ Normal School/ BTC/ Pvt. TEIs) recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) in the state for the academic session 2023-2025.
Age Limit (as on 01-07-2023):
The applicant must be at least 18 years old and not more than 34 years old as of July 1, 2023. Candidates belonging to SC, ST(P), and ST(H) categories will have a relaxation of 2 years.
Reservation of Seats:
Seats will be reserved for candidates belonging to reserved categories, including OBC/MOBC/SC/ST(P)/ST(H)/Person With Disability (PWD), as per the existing government norms. More details are available on our official website: https://www.scertassam.co.in.
Educational Qualification:
The applicant must have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) or an equivalent examination from recognized Boards/Councils with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate, excluding marks secured in extra optional subjects. SC/ST(P)/ST(H) category candidates will have a relaxation of 5% marks in aggregate.

SCERT Assam is offering admission to the D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education) course for the academic session 2023-2025.

Eligibility Criteria for D.El.Ed. Admission:
Residency:
Only candidates who are permanent residents of Assam can apply for this course.
Application Fee:
Candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 600.00 (Rupees Six Hundred only) for all categories through online mode. The fee can be paid through Internet Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card/Wallet.
Selection Process:
Candidates who are permanent residents of Assam need to appear in the Pre Entry Test (PET)-2023 for admission into the 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) Course. The syllabus for this test can be checked on our website.
Admit Cards:
Candidates can download their Admit Card from the website, https://www.scertassam.co.in/, starting from September 10, 2023, by entering their Application Number and Date of Birth which was generated during the online application submission.
Venue for Pre-Entry Test (PET):
The Pre Entry Test (PET) will be conducted at the District DIET. However, depending on the number of candidates, the test may also be held at nearby TEIs/schools/colleges. The venue for the Pre Entry Test will be indicated on the candidate's Admit Card.
