AOCN is affiliated to Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, Guwahati and the course is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.

Eligibility Criteria of IOCL Nursing Admission
Educational Qualification:
B.Sc Nursing: Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) Science or equivalent examination from a recognized Board/Council/University with English as a subject, scoring at least 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology for General Category candidates, 45% for PwBD candidates, and 40% for candidates belonging to SC/ST(P)/ST(H) categories (without grace marks).
GNM:
a) Passed 10+2 with a preference for Science (PCB) & English, achieving a minimum aggregate of 40% marks in the qualifying examination from a recognized Board.
b) Candidates are eligible from state open schools recognized by the State Government and the National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by the Central Government.
c) 10+2 in Arts (Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Health care Science – Vocational stream ONLY, passing out from a recognized Board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board with 40% marks’) 10+2 vocational ANM under CBSE Board or other equivalent Board from the school and recognized by the Indian Nursing Council with 40% marks.
e) Registered as ANM with passing marks from the State Nursing Registration Council.
Gender: Only female candidates can apply for this course.
Age Limit: The minimum age for admission will be 17 years as on 31.12.2024. The upper age limit is 35 years. The mark-sheet/certificate issued by a Board of Secondary Education for passing the Matriculation (Class-X) examination shall be the only acceptable document for proof of age.

PwBD: 5 years
IOCL Nursing Admission Stipend and Training Details
B. Sc (Nursing): The selected candidates shall be paid a consolidated stipend per month for 1st year – Rs. 2,800/-; 2nd year – Rs. 3,000/-; 3rd year – Rs. 3,200/-; and for 4th year – Rs. 3,400/-.
GNM: The selected candidates shall be paid a consolidated stipend per month for 1st year – Rs. 2,500/-; 2nd year – Rs. 2,700/-; 3rd year – Rs. 2,900/-.
Additional benefits/opportunities for both BSc (N) & GNM courses:
(1) Free hostel accommodation, medical attention for self at AOD Hospital and uniform will be provided to all selected candidates. Selected candidates will be compulsorily required to stay in the Nursing College hostel only.
(2) After passing out from their respective courses, candidates will be engaged compulsorily for a period of 01 (one) year as working interns at AOD Hospital or in any of the other hospitals of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. This may be extendable by a maximum of 2 (two) years at the sole discretion of IOCL (AOD). The working interns shall be paid a consolidated stipend of Rs. 16,250/- per month for BSc (N) and Rs. 15,250/- per month for GNM at AOD Hospital and shall be paid an additional amount of Rs. 1,000/- per month if they are placed at other hospitals of Indian Oil Corporation Limited, other than at AOD hospital. During the period while they are engaged as working interns, they shall not be provided with the accommodation facility.
