CBSE CTET exam eligibility criteria
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks
and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary
Education (irrespective of the designation)
Or
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name called) by NCTE (Accreditation Principles and Procedures), Regulations, 2002.
Or
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).
Or
Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
Or
"Bachelor and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) with at least 50% marks"
"(a) who has acquired qualification or graduation in education from an institution recognized by NCTE, shall be considered for appointment as a teacher for classes I to V if the person appointed as a teacher has completed compulsory education in primary education recognized by the NCTE. shall undertake a bridge course of six months, within two years of appointment as a such primary teacher”.
Grades 6-8 or Elementary Level
Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name called).
Or
Graduation and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) with at least 50% marks.
Or
Graduated with at least 45% marks and passed or appeared in 1-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) as per NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Rules issued from time to time in this regard.
Or
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).
Or
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) passed or appearing in 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed final year with at least 50% marks.
Or
Graduated with at least 50% marks and passed or appeared in 1 year B.Ed. (special education)*.
Or
Any candidate who is eligible for B.Ed. Eligible to appear in NCTE-recognized program TET/CTET. Further, as per the extant TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, a person pursuing any teacher education course (recognized by NCTE or RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE notification will be eligible for TET. are also eligible to 'have' CTET.
